Cash4books.Net Review - Some of the Easiest Money I Ever Made!

I was reading an article on a while back about quick ways to make an extra hundred bucks. I usually don't hold much stock in such endeavors since they are typically more trouble than they are worth. Since it was a slow day though, I decided to take a peak at the list, and stumbled across a site called As the name indicates, Cash4books is a site that pays you for books -- duh!

Always wary of new moneymaking ventures, I first conducted my due diligence. After a thorough investigation (I always read reviews, look for scam articles, and make sure these sites won't ask for a bank account #, CC#, or SS#), and doing some hemming and hawing, I felt comfortable enough to give it a whirl.

Boy am I ever glad I did! And so are my wife and mother-in-law!

  • The site was super easy to use. On the homepage, you can enter the ISBN numbers of the books you have to sell. The site immediately tells you if they will purchase the book or books and for how much.
  • Cash4books pays for shipping. They have easy to follow instructions for shipping and will even allow you to send your books by way of FedEx if you have a large enough order.
  • If you choose to be paid through PayPal (you can also choose to be paid by check), you can get a 3% bonus added to your payout.
  • I was amazed to see an older woman at the resale shop the other day, using a scanner (I think you can rent them from Cash4books for like $5 a month or something) like you'd see at the bookstore checkout line, attached to her PDA, scanning book ISBNs to see if Cash4books would buy them. It's like miners panning for gold out there! It's not a bad pastime considering you might be able to purchase resale shop or garage sale books for a quarter a pop, and turn around and sell them to for maybe five or ten bucks!

  • Cash4books doesn't seem to buy many old or novel type books, preferring more recent textbooks and subject specific (non-fiction) works.
  • If you're books are damaged (i.e. water stained, ripped, highlighted over a certain percentage of pages, etc.) you might not receive as much money as you were initially quoted. It's a good idea to review the site's quality requirements as well as the quality of your books before taking the time to ship them.
  • Between my mother-in-law, my wife, and I, we cleared a total of $440, mostly in used textbooks. Not bad for an hour or two sorting through and boxing up some old books and a couple of trips to the FedEx store!

If you have books just sitting around collecting dust and are interested in making a few extra bucks, then I would highly recommend you visit This website buys certain types of books that are in decent condition. All you have to do is enter the ISBN or the UPC and you will be informed if they are interested in you book and if they are at what price they are willing to pay you for it. You are under no obligation at all to sell your book if you are not happy with the price they offer you. If you do decide to sell your books, you don't even pay for shipping! All you do is print a shipping label right from your computer, pack your books up and ship them. Upon receipt of your shipment and processing of the shipment, they will then send your payment via check within three business days. You also have the option of getting paid via paypal if you prefer. I have used this service a few times and never had any problems. I sold many books on here that I had sitting around collecting dust that I no longer needed or wanted. Every time, I sent in a shipment, I selected to bed paid via paypal and I was paid within two days of receipt of the company receiving my shipment, without any problems!

CASH4BOOKS.NET book-buying website review

Do you have a bunch of used books you no longer want that you wish you could sell, quickly and easily? I have discovered a website that lets you do just that! buys used books and even allows you to ship them for free. It works like magic. First, you enter the book's ISBN into the "Price My Book!" window to see whether Cash4Books currently buys it and how much they offer you for it. You can enter more than one book, and if you don't like the price you can always remove them from your selling basket. When you are done with price quotes, you proceed to Checkout where you will be asked your contact information and issued a pre-paid mailing label so that you don't have to pay for the shipping. Then you pack the books, stick the label on the box, and mail them. Cash4Books will pay you within 3 business days after receiving your books. They can pay by check or via PayPal.

The prices they offer are not very big, but still decent, keeping in mind that you are trying to get rid of something that is just taking up space in your house. A few books I had lying around brought $2.50-3.70 each. Cash4Books does not buy everything, they have a list of books they don't want. They also have condition requirements that your book must meet in order to be purchased - no tears, minimal wear, no missing pages, water damage, and other things like that. Each shipment is inspected before Cash4Books makes the payment, which I think is only fair.
