Bar Code Scanner Rental Program
Cash4Books.net is now offering a bar code scanner rental service. The purpose of this program is to provide our customers with a relatively inexpensive way to quickly and easily price check large quantities of books, and optionally create an electronic inventory. The price is only $5 per week, plus shipping, and a refundable deposit.
Our website will accept EAN-13 bar codes, which are located on the back cover of most books (these begin with 978).

Scanner Rental Program Overview
- Our program offers a scanner you can rent on a per week basis.
- The rental fee, refundable deposit and shipping charges are outlined in the agreement form above.
- Pre-Paid Return Shipping. For convenient return processing, we will include a FedEx RMA number.
Technical Requirements
- Available USB port on your computer. (PC/MAC)
- Just plug it in! The scanner works out of the box without special drivers, software or separate power supply.
Scanning Options
- Scan directly into our website at Cash4Books.net (price up to 100 numbers at once).
- Scan into a simple text editor (such as Notepad or WordPad), and characters from the bar code will appear on screen at cursor's position.
- Scan into an inventory worksheet (Excel template provided above). Email us your spreadsheet and we will assist you in pricing your books.
