My Cash4Books Story: Crystal
As a 47-year old wife, mother, grandmother, substitute teacher, intern and full-time college student, my days are filled to the brim with activities. Thus Far, the feeling of keeping busy I find quite rewarding!

Back in 2010, while employed at Tidewater Community College, I decided to take the leap and sign up for classes. Earning a college degree had been my long time aspiration for nearly 30 years. Once my daughters grew older and became less dependant on “mommy” I knew the time was now, to make my dream a reality.

With the support and encouragement of my husband and family, I eagerly dove into my course of studies, earning an average of 3.0 GPA along the way! Due to holding down full-time employment while attending college, it’s taken me 4 years to complete my Associates Degree in Early Childhood Development. I will graduate this May 2014.

Indeed there has been sacrifices while going to college. Time and finances are my top 2 sacrifices! Allocating time throughout the week to concentrate on my studies and gathering up the funds to finance my college expenses has been challenging. The buyback-textbook programs has been a lifesaver. How convenient and easy on the budget, it’s been to buy and sell used textbooks!

During my first few semesters, I was one of those students who stood in the seemingly endless lines at the campus bookstore to sell back textbooks. I found the long waits in line, aggravating and inconvenient. Then someone told me about selling textbooks online. After research and comparing online sites, I finally discovered Cash4Books. This company made it so easy to sell back textbooks! The website is user friendly; just plug in the ISBN number, get an awesome quote, print off the handy mailing label, ship off book and very shortly a check arrives!

Cash4Books, is my go-to online source for selling my textbooks and I’m am so grateful for their superior service! Cash4books has been an exceptional aid for my college expenses and I recommend this company to all college students!

My Cash4Books Story: Katherine

My Cash4Books Story: Katherine
My name is Katherine and I have two little girls (2 under 2!), Adelyn and Ellie. I am 26 years old and I am a stay-at-home mom. To make ends meet for my family, I have taken on a part time bookkeeper position that allows me to work from home, along with a few babysitting jobs on the side. As any stay-at-home mom would tell you, being a mom is a full time job in itself!

As a college graduate, I completely understand the frustration and dread of walking into the campus bookstore and preparing to fork out more cash than your college self has ever spent on books (Books you would sometimes rarely end up using in class!). I totally had sticker shock that first semester! And then, to make matters worse, going back to the bookstore at the end of the semester to sell your books and realizing you will never get back even close to what you originally spent. Frustrating! Depressing.

I discovered Cash4Books during my search to sell textbooks back online. I needed some extra spending cash to put towards groceries and diapers and I knew I had several textbooks collecting dust in my garage. Cash4Books.net was offering the highest sellback price on a couple textbooks (by about $10 higher than other websites!). They even offer great promo codes to earn extra money back when selling textbooks. I love that! The website is clean and extremely easy to use. The 3 easy steps to complete shipment are so simple. My two year old excitedly helped hold the shipping label and packing slip after they printed.

“What are you doing mommy?” she asked.

“I just made us some money,” I replied smiling.

As a runner-up, Katherine has received a 15% Cash4Books bonus code.

My Cash4Books Story: Brett
My name is Brett, I’m 31 years old, and my wife Brooke and I are expecting our first child this spring. We both work full time, devote time to extracurricular activities, and Brooke is also going to graduate school to become a nurse practitioner. As you can imagine we have our hands full when it comes to getting ready for this baby! Our time has really become our most valuable resource.

During our baby preparation, we found that–amidst a long list of to-do items–that we faced a major challenge in making space in our small apartment for the baby and all of its things: a crib, rocking chair, changing table…we didn’t have many options for the things that were currently taking up space.

We began to realize that a lot of the space was being taken by old textbooks. It was then that we discovered the Cash4Books.net app for the iPhone. What a perfect solution! As we were moving these bulky graduate school textbooks, we were able to scan them with our phone right there without interrupting our progress on our new baby room! We even got some offers on some of my older books from college several years ago! All of this without leaving the house!

The shipping process was headache-free, all we had to do was print an automatically generated label. And it only took a couple days for us to receive payment! Cash4Books.net helped us with our space problem with a simple solution that doesn’t take our precious time and pays us at a time when we can really use the extra cash! We’ve already started spreading the word to our family and friends!

As a runner-up, Brett has received a 15% Cash4Books bonus code.

My Cash4Books Story: Sami

My Cash4Books Story - Sami
Hi my name is Sami. I am 62 years young returning to school after a horrendous divorce. I have no kids, but have lots of children surrounding me, as I am a retired Nanny. I took an interest in Criminal Justice after seeing how the United States Prison System works.

I can honestly tell you, textbooks for these courses are not cheap. The University I attended would send a “guarantee buyback” amount along with delivery of our textbooks, however, when one would go to sell them back, there was always something wrong (a mark on a page or two, a turned-down corner, etc.), thereby, reducing the “guaranteed amount.” There was even times, when I would submit a return of a book, to be told, that book was no longer used in the school, therefore, could not be returned.

A friend told me about Cash4Books, I contacted them via email, put in the ISBN numbers and was given a quote immediately. Once completed entering the books, I printed out the FedEx label (for free), boxed up the books and took them down the street to the FedEx box. I did not even have to go to the FedEx office*; what a great experience.

Being an older student, and sometimes getting a little confused with new technology; chatting on line with the folks at Cash4Books is wonderful as well. They are friendly, and always are ready to assist in anyway that they can. And being paid via PayPal is great! I received payment within 7 days of sending the books to them. I sing Cash4Books’ praises every chance I get, and tell all my online classmates about them. They too, have begun using Cash4Books for selling back their own textbooks.

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! Cash4Books, you ROCK!

My Cash4Books Story: Roshni

February 24, 2014

Editor’s Note: This story is one of the runner-ups of the My Cash4Books Story Contest. We asked our customers to tell us a little about themselves and their book selling experiences in their own words.

Roshni
My name is Roshni. I am a public health student at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. I am 23 years old and live the typical student life, counting each and every penny in my wallet and considering it valuable no matter if it has a piece of crud stuck to it. My hobbies include working out, cooking and baking, and traveling, even it’s a small bus ride into New Jersey. Selling books was always one of the most difficult things about being a student. As much as I love the end of a semester, I used to dread buy backs, whether it was a college bookstore, or Amazon & Ebay.

My parents used to pay for my textbooks and it would break my heart to ask them to shell out over $300 in textbooks per quarter. Throughout my Masters, it has added up to over $1200 so far. I always wanted to pay some of it back so I would head to the college bookstore, lugging around 30 pounds of books into the store just to learn that they would buy 2 of my 10 books and for barely one fourth of the original price. Or more often then not, “buy backs end at 3 pm on Wednesdays, 2:30 on Thursdays, and lunchtime on Fridays.” What?? Your lunchtime or my lunchtime? It was really aggravating.

I found Cash4Books.net on Google, when I had had enough with Amazon and spending 10 dollars just to ship a book that would sell for 15, and where Amazon would take out 3 dollar commission. Turns out, I would make 2 dollars on that book, where I spent almost 40. Cash4Books paid for shipping, which was such a relief. I was able to type in my ISBN’s from the convenience of my laptop and right away see how much each was worth. The price I would get would be a relief to see because it was always a fair return and a good percentage of what I had paid to buy the book. Boxing it up was easy as well. I just grabbed an old box and filled it up and with packing tape attached the shipping label that Cash4Books provided. I took it to my nearest post office which is usually on my way no matter where I am headed. And the check usually arrived at my doorstep within days. I am so thankful for Cash4Books for making this experience of student life a bit easier for me and for other students.

As a runner-up, Roshni has received a 15% Cash4Books bonus code.
